A Booklet of Cards

I am a card whore. I can't seem to get rid of cards that people have given me over time. I have a large box dedicated to Christmas cards, wedding invitations, wedding showers, engagement parties, baby shower invites, baby announcements, sympathy cards, thank you cards, etc.

So it was only fitting that I saved all of our bridal shower, couples shower, and wedding cards. But I couldn't use all of them in my scrapbooking endeavors so I was sort of at a loss on what to do with them. Then I found this little creation on pinterest and thought how neat! My sister-in-law, Amanda, made one for the cards her & my brother received for their wedding. And since she was able to do it, I thought I could give it a go. **I am not super crafty so when someone I know has been able to accomplish a craft, it gives me a little more confidence to try on my own. Except of course unless E Coop does it because she can do any craft with ease like make the entire nursery for her son Henry. Yea I won't be making anything for baby T's nursery except the scrapbook that will reside on the side table. Surprisingly, the booklet was super easy to make. Even for the challenged like myself ;)

Supplies:
2 or 3 pieces of scrapbook paper (color/design of your choice)
2- 8x8 cake boards
a large whole punch (pref the rounded rectangular whole shape for easier ribbon access)
ribbon of your choice
mod podge (paper on paper kind)
sponge (or brush)
cards (wedding, baby, Christmas, etc)
letters and/or other embellishments

Directions:
1. Cover the 2 pieces of cake board with your scrapbook paper using mod podge. I covered the card board colored side to use as the front and back and left the white side exposed for my inside cover and back cover. You could cover the whole thing...it just requires precise cutting (a skill which I do not possess). What I ended up doing was placing a small card on the white space to fill the cake board so that it looked a bit cleaner.
2. Punch two holes in the cake boards and all of the cards you would like to use. It is best to measure them up as best you can, but they do not have to be perfectly aligned.
3. Put the cards in whatever order you would like them displayed. I tried to have mine tell a story with the the front covers (but this is optional).
4. String the ribbon through the back of the cake boards and through the cards so that the ends of the ribbon will be through the front cover.
5. Tie the ribbon in a neat but secure bow.
6. Embellish the front cover to your liking.
