Monday, September 21st we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the EATF Grant Awards & Honoree Luncheon. I have been a part of this amazing organization for four years and have seen the great works it has done for adult tennis programs.
This year we had a special honoree and guest speaker. Jane Zenker, a dear friend and integral part of EATF was honored for her dedication to tennis on all levels. Our guest speaker was Melanie Oudin, a young American who stole hearts in 2009 by beating Maria Sharapova at the U.S. Open to reach the Quarterfinals as a 16 year old. She has recently undergone two heart surgeries and is on the road to a comeback.
