The Bridgeport Beardsley Zoo

We are trying to soak up every last minute of summer around here. August is such a great month because it is when Adelaide was born, but it also brings a feeling of nostalgia as it means summer is coming to an end. Historically I have welcomed fall with pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween candy, Thanksgiving decor, and Christmas shopping. This year I am clinging onto summer a little tighter, not quite ready for sweaters and leggings.

Nonetheless, we are spending mucho time outside and seeing things we haven't seen before while the weather cooperates! We met our friends at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, CT on Monday for some morning entertainment.

The weather was warm and the sun was shining. A great combo for a day at the zoo in my opinion. We saw sweet little animals: llamas, otters, tigers, and wolves. We indulged in a camel ride which was definitely the highlight of the day.

Beardsley Zoo is the perfect size for a two hour excursion which with two kiddos now is about all this mommy can handle for now :) If you haven't checked it out and you are in this area, definitely hop on the CT-15 and see it!
