Now that everyone we wanted to tell in person or personally knows the big news, I can share it to the blogging world.
We're moving...
To New York!
Ryan received a huge promotion (again!) for all of the fabulous work he has done here in San Francisco. I really am so proud of him. He is one of the youngest bankers with his company and probably in this industry. My little superstar.
So details: We head off today for a week long house hunting expedition. Yes we have high hopes of buying a house. Fingers crossed and lots of prayers please & thank you. The tricky part is that we need to find a neighborhood we like prior to a home we love. Funny thing about New York is that there are a million neighborhoods. Add in NJ or CT into the mix and it can be a bit overwhelming. Luckily we have about 5 real estate agents covering all of the 'hoods so we have a pretty solid plan of attack.
Move date: December 13th. Nothing like getting married, moving, buying a house, starting a new job, and spending the holidays with family. Did I also mention that we are going to FL post Christmas with my family? Next thing you know I will be telling you that I am preggo (jk).
To do list: Too long to list here but it includes organizing, packing, a run to storage, shopping, writing, lunches & dinners, etc. Trying to tie up any loose ends before we take off. Technically we only have about 3 days in San Fran so not a lot of time if you catch my drift.
Excitement: We are really looking forward to this new step in our relationship and marriage. I am overjoyed to be a hop, skip, and a jump from my family. A direct 2 hour flight is far better than a 6 hour travel day. So much better that the fam has already decided to come visit in February!
Goodbyes: Never easy. I was in tears breaking the news to my Red Devil tennis team. I love these girls and coaching them has been one of the best experiences of my life. Something I will never forget. Sometimes people touch your life in ways you never thought imaginable and it is difficult to put into words just how much they mean. And we will certainly miss Julie & Stan, our double date team as well as my girlfriend lunch partner. Jeb will be visiting a lot ;)
Final Report: We have lots to do, but as a team, I know we can get it all done efficiently without killing one another. At least I hope so anyway. I would hate for Ryan to miss out on New York ;) hehe
