Ready, Aim, Shoot: Aspen Turns 6 Nerf-Style

 Back in May, we had the best drive-by Nerf themed 6th birthday party for Aspen. He has been obsessed with being a police officer, an Army man or a hunter for quite some time. Add in a big cousin who loves to have Nerf fights with him and we had the perfect theme for his “socially distanced” birthday celebration. 

 

 

 

The day before the celebration we dropped off supply boxes complete with mini Nerf guns & ammo, Nerf themed cookies, Gatorade, “laser tag” badges, and more. It was a joy to see Aspen’s classmates and the smiles on everyone’s faces after being apart for so long. The excitement and anticipation for the celebration was heartwarming. 

 

 

 

The next day the fabulous Amanda from Goganberry Event decorated the yard with balloon “targets” and the biggest orange & blue 6 I’ve ever seen. Aspen, his siblings & his cousins lined the yard ready for battle! As his friends and teachers drove by in car parade style, an epic Nerf gun battle broke out in our front yard. It was one of the most exciting and good for the soul moments for all of us. Truly a moment in time that took away all of the uncertainty of the world and gave my children as well as their friends a glimpse into the life they crave! 

It was a wonderful celebration that we will never forget!
