The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: Drive to See Christmas Lights

When I was a kid, one of my favorite holiday traditions was driving out to Lake Forest to see Santa's reindeer and drive through the neighborhood to see all of the festive lights. It was a night I always looked forward to as it brought us kids so much magic & delight. There is just something magical about the night being lit up by the spirit of Christmas.

So I have continued to make it an item on our Christmas Bucket List each year. We really enjoy driving through Lights Under Louisville and their new feature with a trolley ride followed by a walk in the Winter Wonderland makes it all the more magical.

We wrapped up our Thanksgiving weekend by officially kicking off Christmas by touring the lights in the Mega Cave. The amazement of their work never gets old and it is always such a treat to see what new themes they have created in the new season. The kids enjoy the musical sing-a-longs as well as the scrumptious sugar cookies that conclude the tour.

Cheers to lighting up this holiday season!
