Our first check on our yearly Thompson Christmas Bucket List was to see a Christmas Play. We absolutely love this tradition and are usually lucky enough to see several holiday plays throughout the season. Derby Dinner is one of our favorite spots and their Christmas play always delights. This year they put on "Christmas in Candyland" and it was absolutely fabulous. Our table was front row which made the kids' eyes light up with delight to see the characters pointing and talking to them. Santa & Mrs. Claus are always an added bonus as they greet us at our table and kick-off the show. The play itself was truly magical; reliving one of my favorite childhood games and seeing the kids excitement over such a special morning was really a great way to kick off the holiday season!
