The Bronx Zoo

I had been trying to take Adelaide to the Bronx Zoo for weeks when finally a sunny weekday appeared and I just couldn't miss the chance. This zoo is massive and one of the best in the world. With exhibits of any animal you can imagine as well as natural habitats for all animals especially the extremely rare and endangered species, there is no way to have a bad time.

The zoo also features a 4-D clip of Ice Age (complete with snow blasting, bubbles blowing, and water spraying), a bug carousel, Wild Asia monorail ride, and a Dinosaur Safari hunt. Not to mention a butterfly garden, Jungle World, and Madagascar display. There is a Children's Zoo portion that is a petting zoo but is closed until summer for renovation. I can't wait to take Adelaide back to see it!

We were there for a little over 5 hours and saw basically everything we wanted to see. We rode the monorail, ventured inside Jungle World, saw the wonders of Madagascar, played on the bug carousel, and became detectives on the Dinosaur Safari. AND she sat through the entire 15 minute 4-D movie laughing the whole time.

She delighted in seeing the bison, bamboo, fish, turtles, monkeys, bears, giraffes, tigers, camels, elephants, and so much more. We snacked on pretzels as we walked the grounds next to wild peacocks. I loved spending a wonderful day with my sweet daughter and seeing her joy & excitement. We truly had a wonderful day that I will remember and cherish for years to come.
