Weekend Treats: From Fort Lauderdale

This weekend I headed to Fort Laudy daudy we likes to party to celebrate my good friend Heather's 30th birthday. She wanted a weekend getaway from South Beach so we opted for the northern gem. We scored great rooms at the W Hotel with views overlooking the ocean and the canal. While the weather wasn't the best, it was typical south Flo meaning humid with spurts of sun & rain. Nonetheless we had a delicious time.

Friday we kicked off the weekend right with mini-bar raiding while getting ready for our night on the town. Followed by dinner at Rocco's Tacos then drinks & dancing at Club Yolo. This momma and baby danced the night away while everyone else took shots of Patron. Needless to say, I felt like a million bucks on Saturday :)

Saturday we grabbed brunch at the pool as well as a few rays before our spa treatments. Bliss is amazing with its urban flare. Think coffee house music (Etta James & Jack Johnson) and lounge atmosphere. Oh and the cheese & brownie bar made my facial even that more fabulous. That evening a smaller group of us grabbed sushi at Sushi Rock to complete the festivities.

It was so great to be a part of this special weekend. Heath and I met in grad school 7 years ago (yikes!) and she is always dear to my heart. Such a wonderful girls weekend!

Sunday Ryan picked me up from the airport around 10:30am. I had opted for the early flight home so we could get a little R&R in together. We had a few errands dealing with household projects to run. And he felt I needed a trip to the Westchester mall so we played for a bit there snagging coffee & chocolate croissants. Then we had lunch outside basking in the 80 degree sunshine. We finished up the weekend with dinner outside on our deck using the new outdoor dinnerware I purchased from Pier One (*hint it goes on sale this week I believe so be sure to check it out if you're in the market for summer stuff!)
