Man on a Ledge: A Movie Review

No shame in seeing a movie solo. I've been doing it for years. Sometimes two a day. Generally matinees which are not too pricey. So when Bishop declined my offer to see Beauty & the Beast 3D on account of his naptime, I decided to check another flick of my long list.

I was torn between Haywire and Man on a Ledge, but after reading a fellow blogger's review of the former, I chose the latter. A 4:25 showing time would put me out right in time for the UK game which was perfect.

The title sounds quite generic. The plot is anything but.

When a cop gets accussed and convicted of stealing a rare diamond from a prestigious Manhattan business man, he finds his whole world has crashed down. Baffled behind bars he concocts a plan to free himself, not only from prison but from his verdict. In a stomach wrenching, on-the-seat-of-your-chair storyline that unfolds, Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) will race against the clock of life.

With a cast of supporting actors including Elizabeth Banks, Anthony Mackie, Jamie Bell, & Edwards Burns, they each bring a unique character and emotion to this twisted plot. No one is who they seem to be. No one can be trusted.

So, will he jump?
