This past weekend, we flew home to spend the weekend celebrating the nuptials of Kim & Jerrad in Paducah, KY. Kim and I have been friends since we were 18 years old. We met at UK as freshmen when we pledged ADPi. We have lived in a one bedroom apartment together. We have lived in a house with a total of six college girls together. We have vacationed all over the country together. We have fought. We have laughed. We have cried. And it was wonderful being a part of such a joyous occasion in her life.
Friday night dinner
We arrived late Friday afternoon and checked into the hotel. Our neighbors just happened to strategically be the one and only L. Marquette and her sweet boyfriend Matty D. KP arrived and we all got ready for dinner. We enjoyed a light evening at Max's Brick Oven with fabulous conversation and delicious meals. Next we headed over to the Whaler's Catch for a meet n' greet with Kim & Jerrad. We had a few cocktails before catching the trolley back to the hotel for a late night sleepover. Some things never change and that is our girly desire for sleepovers ;)
The next morning, we drove to Ms. Donna's (Kim's mom) house to host a Beauty & Breakfast shower for Kim. While she got ready for her big day, we sipped mimosas and snacked on pastries & casseroles. We put together a little scrapbook of memories and wedding day advice to present to her. If anyone knows Kim & Jerrad, they know how much they love snowboarding. In keeping with her amazingly creative gift giving ability, KP had an idea to get them a personalized snowboard to display in their house as their wedding gift from all of us. We presented it to Kim as she was getting ready as well.

Late afternoon we did our old school get ready together and rode over to Renee's for the ceremony and reception. With a cocktail in hand, we mingled with Jerrad and his family before the point of no return.

We took our seats and before we knew it, Mr. & Mrs. Jerrad Bullock were hitched. Then came the after party...

...and by the looks of the video below, you will see that it was quite the after party. My fiance did not stop dancing all night. He danced with every lady in that place. Moms, grandmas, tweens. You name it, he danced with them. The below recap is his finest performance with Ms. Linda (JL's mom) and Ms. Donna (Kim's mom). If this is any indication of what our wedding reception will be like, I am pumped!
All in all, we had a great weekend with wonderful friends!
I'm in love with your cream dress Whit! Wish you lived closer so I could borrow it! :)
