We have known the
Underhills since I was in diapers. Colin & I used to have sleepovers as kids. I lost my first tooth at their first Anchorage house. We've played tennis, swam, dined, traveled, laughed, and cried with one another. Growing up without cousins in KY our age, the Underhills became our cousins in a sense. We do a holiday get-together each year. Our family traveled to New Orleans for Townsend's wedding a few years back. We all attended Colin's nuptials in Louisville half a decade ago. So we weren't about to miss Jordan's
I dos.
Despite the hurricane/tornado/earthquake that hit while the bridal party was taking pictures, which inconveniently knocked out the power all across Louisville and particularly Big Springs Country Club
(where the reception was taking place), the ceremony and reception were wonderful.
Framed a bit like the royal wedding, the little wedding party toted down the aisle followed by the show-stealing buggy, filled with Jordan's 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

After an abbreviated Catholic wedding ceremony, we drove to BSCC to eat, drink, and be merry. It was great seeing friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. The storm actually made the evening a cooler one which was perfect. Generators were brought in to power up the band and add some lighting. Chocolatey ice cream balls were passed around as dessert. Cocktails were tasty. The dance floor was bumpin' as they say.
