Solvang Weekend Escape

To be effective in our wedding planning and to enjoy a little R&R, Ryan and I headed down to Solvang for a weekend getaway. We skipped out of work a tad early to beat the Friday rush hour traffic proving to be a great decision on our part!

What a wonderful weekend to pick...weather-wise the sun was shining and the skin was bronzing! The sky couldn't have been any clearer and the clouds couldn't have been any more non-existent. The company was second to none ;)

We finally got to meet the Foley Winery event planner, Rachel, whom will be our contact point person for the wedding venue. We also had the pleasure of meeting our wedding coordinator Kristin. I am tickled pink to have chosen her as she is going to be is fabulous. Daniel from Discounted Rental put us at ease with his honest opinions on rentals and the option of a last minute tent should inclement weather occur (Ryan's biggest fear). He also loves bourbon which is a major plus for my soon-to-be hubby! Polka Dot & Catering Connection supplied delicious meal options leaving us salivating every last bit, and Decadence Cakes put us into a sugar coma with 12 medium slices of various scrumptious cakes!

And I must not forget our favorite friends at Lincourt who always provide us with lots of wine, stories, and laughter. Sue, Jake, Dave, & Co. are among our top reasons to get married at Lincourt Vineyards. They have played a huge part in our relationship from that October 2009 day through our engagement evening and into our newest chapter. We truly value their place in our hearts.

So without further adieu, here are a few snapshots from the weekend's retreat:
