-John 15:11
Joy is said to be one of the greatest emotions felt by individuals. It is an emotion that inspires people and allows them to maintain a certain level of positivity in life. It keeps the light of life burning inside us, and there is no price tag on the value of joy.
Because we, as individuals, are all wired differently various things make us joyful. For some it is an academic achievement; for others it is success on a professional level; and for many it is a personal triumph of some sort. On a small scale, a smile from a stranger, a phone call from an old friend, or a ray of sunshine can generate joy in people.
Here is a small (err long) list of the things that bring me joy:
- blessings & prayers from God
- clear blue skies
- warm blankets
- snugs with my sweet
- laughs with the girls
- volunteering in any capacity
- kisses on my forehead from my love
- jokes with my family
- traveling the world
- yogurtland
- goodnight texts from you know who
- letters in the mail
- pictures
- Beau waiting for me at the door
- all things tennis
- feeling loved
- hiking in Los Angeles
- UK basketball...when they're winning (by a lot especially)
- swimming in the Atlantic Ocean
- Chipotle on Sunday nights with Ry
- picture texts of baby Bishop
- girls' weekends
- a nice glass of vino
- cooking dinner
- reading inspirational books
- learning & re-learning French
- loving
What makes you joyous? Find it. Engulf yourself in it. All day. Everyday.
