Dearest Adelaide Jane,
Baby girl you are 9 years today and I can hardly believe it. You’ve grown so much before my eyes, and when I reflect back I remember thinking that I’d blink & you’d be almost double digits. I tried to imagine how you would be at this age, but I could have never done justice to how remarkable you truly are.
You are my constant sidekick in all things. You have a mysterious humor about you that is far beyond your years. And you know how to hold your own yet you have a pure heart filled with a lot of love.
You made your first communion this spring which was a magical day. You have been waiting so long to receive the body & blood of Christ, and I loved sharing in the day with you.
You had an amazing end to your first gymnastics competition season~ winning Bars at State! The pride & joy on your face was one of the most beautiful sites I’ve seen of you. Truly a moment that I’ll never forget.
You swam for HCC again this summer and also added Blairwood Barracudas to your resume. You had a blast in your first LSA season and made lots of new friends. You racked up the medals at City Meet~ winning 3 events, placing 2nd in another & coming in 6th while swimming up on a 10&u relay. You had amazing team spirit and to watch you cheer for your teammates as well as your little brothers was awesome.
You are enjoying 3rd grade already with Mrs. Schulten and your classmates. I love to see you thriving in school. I hope you always know how bright you are and how much people look up to you.
You are a force to be reckoned with my first born child; you have an unbelievable spirit that will allow you to do BIG things in life. Remember to always believe in yourself & know that you’re so very loved by me.
I love you!
Love,
Mommy
