Our last check on the Christmas Bucket List was a little family craft. The kids love decorating their rooms for holidays and they are always amazed by snow globes. A few years ago, we I tried making a few but the kids were to small to be able to make their own. So I decided to revisit this festive craft and it was a huge success!
I gathered materials from Joann Fabric...figurines, mason jars, water proof glue, glitter, glycerin liquid, sandpaper, and some flare for the bases. After school the kids glued their figurines on the tops and we let them sit for a few hours.
While waiting, we enjoyed some cookies & hot cocoa. Yummy treats always seem to make the time go by faster ;) Then once we felt they had tried enough, we added water, glycerin liquid, and a LOT of glitter! The kids couldn't wait to put their tops on so they set them inside and I secured the lids tightly. Then they shook them with all their might and watched the glitter swirl and swirl. They placed them in their embellishments and beamed with pride.
Now they each have a new Christmas decoration for their room that was made with love!
