What a year it has been sweet boy! In so many ways, it feels like the year as flown by yet in other ways I feel like you've been with us forever. It has been such a joy watching you grow and learn the last 12 months and I know that will continue as you enter the toddler phase ;)
You are all smiles all of the time. You love to wave hi and bye to people now. Saying "hi" and "bye bye" when you feel like it. And no joke you have said "thank you" a time or two. You love when your siblings or I say, "Brighton blah blah blah." You repeat it right back to us. It's from the movie Hotel Transylvania 2 and cracks us all up every time.
You are loving your Mother's Day Out at Harvey Browne. You literally leap out of my arms to play with your buddies. Ms. Cammie and Ms. Namita are always happy to see you. You enjoy going with your cousin Sawyer for one of the days as well as making new friends.
You are the fastest little crawler in town and if we don't keep an eye on you, you are half a mile away! You love to crawl over to my legs, pull yourself up and say "Mama!" I cannot tell you how much that melts my heart little guy!
We had our second appointment at the oncologist and are awaiting more test results. For the first test in 3 months, your white counts are the lowest that they've ever been and inching towards the normal range. Someday, I will let you know the anxiety, stress, and fear that all of the possibilities has caused me, but for now I just want you to know how loved you are and that these results are such a blessing!
You have weathered a bit of teething which included some sleepless nights for us both as well as throwing up in your crib and a massive blow out diarrhea all over your car seat while in carpool line! Ah the joys of babies getting their teeth! This newest one makes #7 but I have a feeling there are several right behind it!
We celebrated your 1st birthday a little early with a Happy Camper themed party. You ate up every single bit of attention and all of the snuggles that people were handing out. You thoroughly enjoyed your cakes (one for the cake smash and one for the party) so long as they were chased with a bottle! You loved being outdoors by "Lake Thompson" and playing in the camping tents. You are obsessed with the airplane ride along that Mimi & Papa gave you for your birthday. It has brought much joy to your days as a booming toddler!
Brighty-boo, you are one of the greatest gifts from God and today we celebrate the love, laughter, & life that you bring to our family!
