Mother's Day: A Movie Review

On the Friday before Mother's Day, Marissa & I planned a little girls night out. We had dinner at Winston's then hopped over to the theater to see Mother's Day.

From the producers of Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, the tale of Mother's Day involves all types of moms from single to stepmoms to adopted to lesbian to moms who have passed away. It showed all the ways to be a mom, love a mom, and the mom struggles. With an all star cast of Julia Roberts (Miranda Collins), Jennifer Aniston (Sandy), and Kate Hudson (Jesse), these mother's live the life that we as real life moms live. The crazy navigation of school lunches, playgroups, germs, and relationships. The fear of motherhood and how we hold onto the bond with our children. Then complexity of relationships with our own mothers and how it affects us as moms.

It was definitely a laugh out loud, shed some tears, and be proud of the motherhood club film. And it was nice to share it with a fellow mom :)
