Our Family Trip To Cali: Los Angeles (Part Four)

Tuesday afternoon we left Solvang and headed towards Los Angeles. We were super excited to see so many friends all in one place. We stopped at the Camarillo Outlets for fun to walk around and reminisce about that pit stop on our engagement day. After purchasing a few Christmas gifts (yep I have 4 people on my list complete!), we continued on to Liz & Win's house.

Adelaide was beyond thrilled to get there so she could go swimming in their pool! We changed into our bikinis and cooled off on the hot summer day. She was in love with their shark-whale pool cleaner which provided lots of entertainment for her.

Next up was a delicious BBQ with friends hosted by the Gaffrons. LA traffic is no joke so it meant so much to us that our friends drove up on a "work night" to spend time together. Our BBQ consisted of spinach salad, homemade fries, seasoned ribs, and homemade peach pie. We also celebrated the recent engagement of Marissa & Leo. We hadn't met Marissa yet but had heard great things about her (all completely true!!). Leo is very special to us as a couple because he has been one of our biggest supporters since we began dating. And he told me that Ryan loved me before Ryan even did ;) Vanessa & Brandon brought the champagne and newly (almost a year ;) ) married spirits! We hated missing their wedding last August because I was set to give birth. Nonetheless, we had a lot to celebrate at this BBQ and we did!

Wednesday we relaxed and made ourselves at home by the pool. Going out for dinner to Umami Burger in Thousand Oaks, Liz & Win surprised us by kicking off Adelaide's 1st birthday celebration! Liz and I share a serious love for dessert as well as the need to celebrate everything in style :) So this was beyond sweet and special.

After dinner, the boys were on baby duty while Liz & I got Chinese foot massages. Probably the best decision of my life. Haha. Seriously if you have not had one, you need to get one pronto. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time.

A little conversation to finish up the evening and rejuvenate us for our final leg of the trip!
