40 Before 40: Opryland Trip with Family Friends

 We had an absolute blast heading to Opryland with the Northups for a quick 36 hour weekend trip. We spent the majority of our time at Soundwaves, the indoor/outdoor waterpark inside the resort. We enjoyed all of the slides, lazy rivers, kid zone, wave pools, and surf waves. We dined on pizza, ice cream, and tacos. We really had a blast playing with the kids, watching them be kids, and having parenting hack talks. Such a fun little end to July {and almost the end of summer}!

                                                  

                                             

40 Before 40: Take Brighton to a PGA Golf Tournament

How lucky we are to have a PGA Golf Tournament in our backyard...well in Nicholasville! Brighton & I enjoyed rainy day at the Barbasol Championships. We got to see some amazing golf, get pro golfers' autographs, meet some caddies, and enjoy a little ice cream treat. It was so fun having one-on-one time with him and watching him light up at the sight of some professional golfers!                                  

                               

40 Before 40: Book a Full Spa Day for My Mom & I

My mom & I celebrated her birthday with a mother/daughter spa day at Joseph's Salon & Spa. They rolled out the red carpet for us, complete with champagne toasts to start the day. We enjoyed massages, body wraps, facials, and pedicures. Mostly we enjoyed spending some one-on-one time together. We don't often get to spend time uninterrupted without kids running around or dogs barking or husbands/siblings interjecting. So it was nice to relax, talk & treat my mom to a spa day!
