Home Makeover: Before & After (Take One)

My mom came the day before we closed on the house to help me unpack the 100s of boxes that the movers & other furniture companies delivered so I wouldn't have to do it all solo. My in-laws were in town for 10 days helping spruce up the place by adding our own touch to the house.

And while the house is by no means complete, much progress was attained over this first month of 35 Waterview Drive! The entire first level has been repainted, trimmed, and almost furnished. We still have minor touches such as rugs, artwork, and decor to work out, but it is coming together daily.

The upstairs will be considered phase 2 moving at a much slower pace than this girl would prefer. But I know it will ALL be complete way in advance of baby T's arrival...right honey??!! And well the basement is a phase 3 project to be crossed off sometime prior to the fall.

I have snapped some before & after pics of the areas we have completed. More to come as the house gets settled into a little more...so please be patient with me ;)

Scrapbooking Fun: Happily Ever After Edition

Alas my scrapbooking is all caught up! Well except for the start of baby T's one but that will be a huge project all in itself. My mom gave me a scrapbook with the cover: Happily Ever After to commemorate all of our fun times post wedding. We've been fairly busy since 11/11/11 so I had a few pages to complete.

Here's what we have been up to since November:

Scrapbooking Fun: Wedding Edition

Finally I was able to complete our wedding scrapbook!! I have been working on this since we got engaged into the planning through my bridal shower to my wild bachelorette weekend in Vegas and into our couples shower. I even put a few pages together post honeymoon like I mentioned previously before the big move. But I was itching to complete the task.

Because I wasn't sure what to do with all of my scrapbooking stuff and the nursery had nothing to go in it just yet, I designated baby T's room as my crafting hold until further notice. I've had all of my projects spread out in piles to help me organize the chaos. The first two weeks of being in the house were spent unpacking countless boxes, cleaning up boxes, and trying to make sense of our mess. So week three, I decided to dedicate some time to relaxing via crafting. With a little patience and a few nights work, our wedding scrapbook came to completion.

Here are the wedding pages:
