After getting our bikes (and sweet helmets), we headed towards Fisherman's Wharf, past Ghiradelli Square, along the Marina, into Chrissy Field, and up to the Golden Gate Bridge. The wind was fierce as we rode into it, and the hills were unforgiving on my legs. Nonetheless we successfully made the trek to the city's wonder to snap a few photos. The way down was much more friendly and less fridgid. Thank Heavens!! Despite the chill, the sun was shining and the blue skies were flying.
great view of the bay from here! |

We returned our bikes and headed to North Beach for a delicious little Italian lunch at Piazza Pellegrini: a little bread, fried calamari, and gnocchi with sausage and pea. I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E. Full as ticks, we decided to walk or rather drive it off. So we headed over the GGB to tour Tiburon & Belvedere, basically looking for our dream home. The houses there are gorgeous as they rest on the lagoon with the bluest water you have ever seen (think Italy/Greece). After salivating over the thought of living there, we cruised up to Muir Woods for a late afternoon hike. A slightly graded 3 mile hike rounded out the evening.
Hope your Sunday was just as relaxing & challenging ;)
