If you are looking for a quick but relaxing trip, Falls of Rough is your spot. It is just outside Leitchfield so a quick drive from Louisville or Nashville. There is plenty to do with golfing, boating, camping, etc. And then there is the option to do nothing at all!

Falls of the Rough: A Weekend Getaway
Ryan and I shared a wonderful 36 hours away over Memorial Day weekend. It was a birthday gift that I gave him back in March. A round of golf, porch swinin' with a bottle of Rose, long overdue adult conversation, southern home-cookin', and some true R&R did our souls good. The weather was gorgeous. The views were stunning. The bed & breakfast was as charming as can be. We met some other couples who had recently got engaged, were deploying overseas, celebrating grandchildren's graduations, celebrating birthdays, and more. It was nice to get away to the "country" where cell service was limited but the company was superb.
