Words do not do the magic of the Polar Express justice. The joy in my children's eyes as they climbed aboard the train is truly something magical! In their candy cane striped Christmas pjs, they hopped in their seats to head to the North Pole. Patiently (sort of) waiting for the train to take off, they enjoyed the horn & the conductor greeting them. As we began to move, the chefs came out singing & serving hot cocoa & cookies. Boy did they get excited to have some dessert! Minus a few spills here and there, they were in chocolate heaven ;) Elves dancing and playing faux saxophones & guitars. Caroling through the aisles and making everyone believe just as we arrived at the North Pole.
And then...SANTA! To see their faces as Kris Kringle appeared is something that I will never forget. Smiles as wide as Texas and big waves! When Santa handed them their special silver bell, I thought the most wonderful moment of their lives to date had occurred. Seriously!
I cannot wait to visit the North Pole again with the kids and I am so glad that this was the kick-off to our Thompson Christmas Bucket List!
