A Thompson Christmas: Jesus is the Reason for the Season

This Christmas looked a little different in many ways...we all learned that is okay. Sometimes it can be more than okay. Sometimes it forces you to remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

A Thompson Christmas: Do A Christmas Puzzle

Our elves have started bringing us Advent calendars on December 1st. This year they gifted me 24 days of mini puzzles that create one big Christmas scene. Each night, with the room lit by the Christmas tree, I would sit and do my nightly puzzle. With a glass of wine or a Bailey's cocktail, I listen to a holiday music program on TV and enjoy putting the pieces together. The entire puzzle is so cheerful and brings lot of joy!

A little masterpiece by Salem Lucille too ;)

A Thompson Christmas: Go Ice Skating at a Rink

We had a wonderful family afternoon on Sunday down at Paristown. The Fete de Noel is one of our favorite holiday traditions and we love soaking it in each year.

A fun time in the ice rink, we skated together around the circle for hours. Laughing and giggling the whole way through.

Then warming up by the fire as we walked down the festive market shops, we dipped into The Village Market for some refreshments. Such a fun afternoon/evening with our little crew!

A Thompson Christmas: See a Christmas Play

We had the joy of seeing two Christmas plays this year...The Nutcracker & A Fairytale Christmas. We enjoyed seeing our sweet Rosie and several other friends in a beautiful rendition of The Nutcracker. The performance was superb. Salem & Brighton loved the special Friday night out with Mom.

We also loved our holiday tradition of seeing the Christmas play at Derby Dinner. The show was A Fairytale Christmas which showcased all of the princesses and their holiday season. This is always a hit with our kids~ yummy breakfast, a play, and seeing Santa plus Mrs. Clause!
