A Thompson Summer: Children's Museum of Indianapolis

Last week the kids and I made a road trip up to Indy to check out the Children's Museum. Thanks to the new bridge, we were there in about 2 hours with a smooth drive up 65 north. Arriving just as the place opened, we spent 3 hours exploring and discovering. There was so much to see and do so we stuck to the toddler itinerary suggestion on their website as to hit our favorites but not be overwhelmed. We added our own stops along the way as well including the circus tent because well why not?! We all had a blast!

If you have not been, I highly recommend making the trip. From dinosaurs and trains to carousels and play houses, there is so much to see for all genders & ages. I am really glad that we decided to make the trip and spend the day in a new place!

A Thompson Summer: Newport Aquarium

The day after 4th of July, we drove up to Newport to spend the morning at the Newport Aquarium. I had not been since the year it opened which was over a decade ago and I knew the kids would love it...so we headed up for some indoor fun!

The kids couldn't get enough of the sea animals, the shark bridge, and the family of penguins. They ran from tank to tank and exhibit to exhibit exploring and enjoying the new sights. What a wonderful summertime activity for us all!
