Sip & Sea: What Will Baby Ash Be?

My mom & I hosted an intimate dinner gender reveal party for Taylor, Robbie, & Baby Ash #2. It was the perfect mix of fancy and fun. We had formal place settings for the adults and "mini-place settings" for the kids. To say that the kids felt grown up is an under statement.

The theme was sip & sea with a play on sipping wine and being "sea" themed due to summertime and (what was supposed to be) poolside dining. Coral & mint were our colors with a touch of gold. So mint for boy and coral for girl. It added a different twist on the tradition blue and pink for gender reveals. Starfish and seashells were scattered around along with seaside netting & ropes. Plus gorgeous floral arrangements from Country Squire and summer scented candles made for the perfect table centerpieces.

For the reveal, we had an adult "dinner party" fizz reveal. I places two wine glasses (labeled It's a Girl and It's a Boy) in front of Taylor & Robbie. Both were filled with warm water to help the heart shaped fizzes turn the gender color. We all waited anxiously to sea...would Baby Ash be a HE or a SHE?

**Not pictured is the sweetest little pinata pull with all of the nieces & nephews. A mound of blue chocolate coins came pouring out accompanied by "It's a BOY" and the rush to collect & eat as many chocolates as possible ;)
