The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: Drink Egg Nog With Family

Cheers to egg nog with family!

Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit more than a rich glass of egg nog for breakfast!

The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: See a Christmas Play

Friday we spent the day in the city touring the sites during Christmas. We walked from Grand Central to Bryant Park to Rockefeller Center to Radio City Music Hall...where we saw our favorite Christmas Play: The Rockettes!

This year it was even more special as my mom, sisters, and nieces were able to accompany Adelaide and I. The girls had a blast and loved every bit of the dancing, singing, and Santa Claus!

The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: Take A Picture With Santa

Our Christmas picture with Santa was right on point this year...

Adelaide was absolutely thrilled to see Santa and gave him a huge hug along with a request for a "purple cupcake."

Aspen was a fan until he had to actually sit on his lap!

And Brighton was straight chillin' and checking out the other kids waiting in line.

I love these annual Santa pics and watching the magic of Christmas/Santa evolve for the kids!

The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: Wrap Presents

One of my favorite parts of Christmas time is wrapping presents. I love the themed wrapping paper for each child/person. No need for gift tags and easy for them to spot under the tree! My mom started this tradition and I love carrying it on with my family.

A little wine in a holiday glass to accompany makes for the perfect wrapping conditions...

The Thompson Christmas Bucket List: Hang Stockings

In lieu of our 12 Days of Christmas, we decided to simply do a Christmas Bucket List for the 2015 holiday season. With three kids, a weekend visit from family, a baptism, and work trip all happening before we head home for Christmas, a simple bucket list seemed like a better fit and less stressful time :)

It is hard to believe that we added a new stocking to the mantle this year (making two first Christmases two years in a row!). When I look up and find stocking #5 hanging between Aspen & Daddy, I am reminded of the sweet miracle of life in our Brighton Kevin. I am also reminded of the "reason for the season" and the birth of baby Jesus' impact on the world.
