A Thompson Christmas: Sing Christmas Carols

The sweetest Christmas Carols are always from the voices of little angels...Salem Lucille sang and danced her heart out at her school Christmas Musical. Candy Cane Lane was as sweet as can be~ part sass and part sweet. She has practiced so hard for months and absolutely shined bright. It was also bittersweet for big sis Adelaide to help with the stage crew. For 8 years we have loved this holiday tradition, and we will cherish this last one forever!

A Thompson Christmas: Take a Photo with Santa

Adelaide, Salem & I had the most magical morning at The Kentucky Castle in Lexington. The castle was decorated in beauty & style for the holidays. In the Grand Ballroom, an intimate setting await with Mr. Santa Claus. Salem went right up to the "Big Guy" and gave him her biggest to date. She chatted him up, showing him Northern Lights {her snow fox elf pet} and letting him know that she wants two MORE puppies for Christmas!

We enjoyed a delicious brunch and great conversation with our table mates. We indulged Mrs. Claus with stories about Christmases past while she picked out the perfect little gifts from her sack to give us. Santa made a special stop at our table to speak to Adelaide. He took the time to talk to her about her wishes for a phone & they even shared a laugh or two together. To see her smile and laugh, it will always be one of my favorite things. We finished brunch with Santa reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas to a quiet bunch of children who were in the awe of his magic.

What a special way to take a photo with Santa!

A Thompson Christmas: Drive to See Christmas Lights

We spent a chilly evening at Kentucky Kingdom kicking off our Christmas bucket list. We loved the rides that sparkled under the holiday lights. We loved zipping down the snow tube and overlooking the bright lights of the park. The Christmas music chiming in made for an exciting trek through each themed area.

Despite the cold, we had a magical evening filled with laughter and child-like excitement. The kind that only comes with Christmas!
